Job Recruitment in SKUAST Jammu
Applications on plain paper indicating name/permanent address/ address for correspondence/Mobile number/E-mail/date of birth/qualifications (10th onward)/publications, work experience and any other relevant testimonials/credentials etc. in support of candidature for the below given position is invited from the eligible candidates for short term on contractual basis of Project Assistant (PA-1) in JKST&IC funded project entitled “Advancing Climate Resilient and Low Emission Agriculture through Greenhouse Gas Monitoring and Mitigation Strategies for Major Food Crops in the Rainfed Kandi Region of Jammu, J&K. at ACRA, Dhiansar, initially for a period of one year from the date of engagement.

Desirable Qualifications :
M.Sc. (Ag.) Agronomy/Soil Science
Experience in conducting field trials, greenhouse gases monitoring and data recording,
computation and analysis.
Knowledge of statistical software’s, good computer skills etc
Emoluments : Rs. 12,000/- per month on consolidated basis.
No house rent allowance (HRA)
Date & Venue of Walk-in-Interview : –
The Walk-in-Interview shall be held on 09-06-2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the Directorate of Research, SKUAST Jammu, Main Campus, Chatha, Jammu. Interested candidates are required to appear before the Selection Committee along with duly filled application on plain paper and relevant documents/testimonials on the date of interview. Terms and conditions :
The engagement shall be initially for a period of one year from the date of engagement.
The minimum age for application must be 21 years and maximum 45 years.
The appointee has to serve at ACRA, Rakh Dhiansar, SKUAST-Jammu
The engagement shall stand terminated automatically on expiry/completion of one-year period of engagement. However, engagement can be extended for one more year subject to the satisfactory performance of the candidate after evaluation by the Principal Investigator.
The appointee can be terminated at any time by the University/Principal Investigator without assigning any reason thereof.
The appointee shall have no legal claim for regular adjustment/absorption in SKUAST-J after completion/winding up of the project.
The appointee shall have to report within 7 days to PI of the project from the issuance of appointment order failing w hich the engagement shall stand cancelled automatically.
The appointee shall have to produce No Objection Certificate/Relieving Order from his/her present employer at the time of joining.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
