Job Recruitment in SKUAST Kashmir
Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for engagement under the MeitY-sponsored project titled:
“Application of Electronics and ICT in Himalayan Region Crop Management (Agri-Excellence)”
The positions are purely contractual and co-terminus with the project.
🧾 POSTS, QUALIFICATIONS & SALARY DETAILS
1️⃣ SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF) – 2 POSTS
Project: Saffron Improvement Programme (SIP)
Salary: ₹49,560 per month (including HRA)
Post-wise Qualifications & Skills:
SRF – Mechanical/Mechatronics
M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics with GATE/NET OR Ph.D OR 2 years of relevant experience.
400+ Posts: SSB Recruitment 2026
Experience in CAD/CAM/CAE, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, Fusion 360, CNC machining, robotics, automation, and 3D printing.
SRF – Food Technology
M.Tech / M.Sc Food Technology with GATE/NET OR Ph.D OR 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience in AI and Robotics applications in post-harvest management of horticultural crops.
2️⃣ JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) – 1 POST
Salary: ₹43,660 per month (including HRA)
Qualification:
M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with GATE/NET OR Ph.D OR 2 years of relevant experience.
Skills Required:
Embedded systems, sensor integration, circuit design, and programming in Python/C/C++.
3️⃣ SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF) – 1 POST
Project: AI-enabled defect detection and sorting system for apples
Salary: ₹49,560 per month (including HRA)
Qualification:
M.Tech / M.Sc Food Technology with GATE/NET OR Ph.D OR 2 years of relevant experience.
Skills Required:
Experience in acoustics and image processing for non-destructive quality evaluation of horticultural produce.
4️⃣ SCIENTIFIC ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT / YOUNG PROFESSIONAL – 1 POST
Salary: ₹21,240 per month (including HRA)
Qualification:
B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering
Skills Required:
Smart farm machinery design, sensor integration, IoT-based systems, microcontrollers, and precision farming technologies.
5️⃣ PROJECT ASSISTANT – 1 POST
Project: E-Marketing of Saffron, Walnut & Apple
Salary: ₹23,600 per month (including HRA)
Qualification:
Master’s in Agricultural Economics OR MBA (Agri-Business Management)
Skills Required:
Agri-product marketing, pricing analytics, data-driven decision-making, and experience with e-market platforms
