Engagement of Counsellors (Male & Female) on Contract Basis
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Regional Office Chandigarh, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has invited applications for the engagement of Counsellors (Male & Female) on a contractual basis for the academic session 2026-27.
The selected Counsellors will be engaged for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) located in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh (HP), Jammu & Kashmir (J&K), Ladakh (UT) and Chandigarh (UT).
Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfil the following qualification requirements:
1. Essential Qualification
Master’s Degree (M.A./M.Sc.) in Psychology from a recognized university or institution.
OR
One-year Diploma in Guidance & Counselling from a recognized university or institution.
Experience
Candidates should have:
At least one year of experience in Guidance & Counselling/Counselling in any recognized school or educational institution.
Age Limit
Candidates should be above 28 years and below 50 years of age as on 01 May 2026.
Remuneration
Selected Counsellors will receive a monthly consolidated remuneration of ₹44,900/-.
Application Fee
₹500/- non-refundable application fee is applicable per candidate.
SC/ST and PH candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.
Selection Process
Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on the prescribed eligibility criteria.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Talk.
