Who Can Apply

Applications are invited from eligible retired or other experienced professionals from NRL, OIL, other PSUs, Government departments, or the Private Sector who satisfy the following criteria as on the cut-off date of 12 November 2026.

Additional eligibility requirements stated in the notification include:

CPSU Grade Requirement: Officers superannuating from a Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) must have retired from Grade ‘C’, ‘D’, or ‘E’.

Age Limit: Maximum 65 years of age as on the cut-off date (12.11.2026). The notification does not provide category-based age relaxations.

Vigilance Clearance: No vigilance case, departmental proceedings, or criminal prosecution should be contemplated or pending at the time of retirement or applying.

Medical Fitness: Candidates must produce a fitness certificate before engagement, and the opinion of the Hospital or Medical Officer authorised by NRL is final.

Pay and Tenure

The engagement is purely contractual for a maximum duration of up to 12 months from the date of joining. Remuneration is an all-inclusive fixed monthly lumpsum with no additional allowances.

Statutory deductions such as TDS will be deducted from the monthly remuneration, against which necessary certificates will be issued. Outstation tour travel will be compensated with TA/DA as per the applicable NRL equivalent grade rate. Appointees will work in line with the regular officers of the company, observe normal office timings, and may be called upon to attend office on weekly off days or any holiday in case of urgency. During their engagement they shall not be allowed to take any other assignment. Advisors are entitled to 20 days of paid leave for every 12 months on a pro-rata basis, and normal company holidays of NRL will be applicable.

 Job Description

Advisor (Boiler Operation)

Imparting expert guidance during boiler commissioning, and trial runs.

Overseeing high-pressure boiler operations and ensuring best operating practices and statutory IBR/BOE compliance.

Conducting technical training for new Operators/ Attendants.

Any other assignment assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Advisor (Operation – ETP)

Guiding commissioning, stabilization, and performance guarantee test runs of ETP.

Overseeing Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) operations, troubleshooting process parameters, and ensuring strict environmental/pollution control compliance.

Conducting hand hold training for the new Operators.

Any other assignment assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Advisor (Operation – Nitrogen Plant)

Guiding commissioning and performance testing of new Nitrogen Plant.

Operation of Nitrogen Plant.

Conducting hand hold training for new Operators on operation.

Any other assignment assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Advisor (Operation – DM Plant)

Guiding commissioning and testing of new DM plant.

Operation of new DM Plant.

Conducting hand hold training for new Operators.

Any other assignment assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Navigate to Career, select Term Engagement (Contractual Basis), and click on Current Term Engagement (Contractual) Opportunities.

Open the link for Advertisement No. 13/2026 (C).

Prepare and upload a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) in the prescribed NRL format containing the declaration: ‘No vigilance case or departmental proceedings or criminal prosecution were contemplated or pending at the time of his/her retirement’.

Upload a recent passport-size photograph, proof of Date of Birth, and educational qualification documents.

Review the submitted details and finalise the online submission before 23:59 hrs on 12 November 2026.
