Eligibility Criteria :
Educational Qualification (Mandatory): Junior Engineer (Civil): Minimum three years Diploma in Civil Engineering OR Degree in Civil Engineering with prescribed minimum percentage of marks. Junior Engineer (Electrical): Minimum three years Diploma in Electrical/Electrical & Electronic Engineering OR Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronic Engineering with prescribed minimum percentage of marks (relaxation for SC/ST/PwBD as per rules).
Experience (Mandatory): For Diploma holders: At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience. For Degree holders: At least 1-year post-qualification experience (or 1-year graduate apprenticeship training in a PSU) in the relevant field as detailed in the notification.
Nationality: The candidate must be either a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India (with eligibility certificate where required).

Age Limit :
The age limit to apply for RBI Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical) Recruitment 2026 is 20 to 35 years. The cutoff date for determining the age limit is 01 April 2026. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per government rules.

Note: Age is calculated as on 01 April 2026. Cumulative age relaxation will not be available. Candidates born not earlier than 02/04/1996 and not later than 01/04/2006 (both days inclusive) are eligible.
Salary Structure :
Selected candidates will draw a starting basic pay of ₹47,700/- per month (i.e., ₹29,000/- plus nine advance increments admissible to Junior Engineers) in the scale of ₹29,000 – 1,700(3) – 34,100 – 2,040(4) – 42,260 – 2,720(6) – 58,580 – 2,950(2) – 64,480 – 3,370(3) – 74,590 – 4,050(1) – 78,640 and other allowances, as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Junior Engineer (Civil/ Electrical) is approximately ₹91,309/-.

Selection Process :
The selection for RBI Junior Engineer Recruitment 2026 will be based on the following:
Online Examination (300 marks): Objective test consisting of English Language, Engineering Discipline (Paper I & II), General Intelligence and Reasoning. The examination is tentatively scheduled for 06 June 2026.
Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Candidates provisionally selected from the online examination will have to undergo a Language Proficiency Test in the Official/Local Language/s of the zone concerned. Candidate not proficient in the Official/Local Language/s would be disqualified.
Document Verification & Medical Examination: Final selection will be on the basis of performance in the online examination (in order of merit), qualifying in LPT, medical fitness and verification of certificates to the Bank’s satisfaction.

Fee can be paid online via Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking / IMPS / Cash Cards / Mobile Wallets. Staff candidates are exempted from payment of fee/intimation charges. Bank transaction charges will have to be borne by the candidate. Fee once paid will not be refunded.
How to Apply ?
Eligible candidates for RBI Junior Engineer Recruitment 2026 must submit their application online through the official website www.rbi.org.in within the specified last date. The online application process is as follows:
Step 1 – Registration: Visit the Bank’s website www.rbi.org.in and click on the link “Recruitment for the Post of Junior Engineer (Civil/ Electrical) – Panel Year 2026”. Choose “Click here for New Registration” and enter basic details. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated. Upload scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration as per specifications.
Step 2 – Application Submission: Login with Provisional Registration Number and Password. Fill all required details in the online application form. Validate the details and save the application using “SAVE AND NEXT” facility. Upload required images and preview the entire form before final submission.
Step 3 – Final Submission & Fee Payment: After verifying all entries, click on “COMPLETE REGISTRATION”. Proceed to payment of applicable fee/intimation charges online. On successful payment, an e-Receipt will be generated. Download and print the final submitted application form for future reference.
Edit Window: After the closing date, a short Edit Window (dates to be notified) will be available for limited corrections (Exam Centre, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name) on payment of ₹200/- correction fee.
Note: Candidates can apply only for one post and one zone. Offline applications will not be accepted. Incomplete applications or applications without proper photograph/signature will be rejected. Candidates are advised to apply well before the last date to avoid last-minute technical issues.
Important Instructions :
Candidates must possess all required educational qualifications, experience and certificates by the closing date of online application (06 May 2026). Certificates issued after the closing date will not be accepted.
Reservation benefits are available only as per prevailing Government guidelines. Candidates must upload correct category certificate in the prescribed format. PwBD candidates must possess a permanent disability certificate issued as per RPwD Act 2016.
