Approval has been accorded by Mission Directorate Poshan J&K vide letter No. MD/Poshan/22246-54 dated 18.06.2026 and communication vide No. DPO/Poshan/K/2026-27/354-62 dated 20.06.2026 for filling up of various vacancies of Sanginis (AWWs) and Sahayikas (AWHs) in Anganwadi Centres of POSHAN Project Kishtwar.

Eligibility Criteria
A. For Anganwadi Workers (Sanginis)
The candidate must be a domicile of the UT of J&K.
Only women candidates aged 18–37 years are eligible.
The candidate must be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
Minimum qualification: 10+2. Maximum qualification considered: Graduation.
Selection shall be made purely on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2.
In case of a tie, the candidate with higher age shall be preferred.
Candidates possessing qualifications higher than graduation shall not be considered.
B. For Anganwadi Helpers (Sahayikas)
The selection shall be restricted to the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
Only women candidates aged 18–37 years are eligible.
The candidate must be a domicile of the UT of J&K.
Minimum qualification: Matriculation.
If no matriculate candidate is available, candidates with qualification not less than 8th standard may be considered.
Selection shall be made purely on the basis of marks obtained in Matric (10th).
Preference shall be given to married women of the ward.
For Sahayikas, marks obtained in 10th class shall be the foremost criterion of eligibility.
Additional Weightage :
If an eligible candidate belongs to the family of a retiring AWW/AWH, she shall qualify for additional two percent points.
Document Verification :
Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for document verification with original documents and self-attested photocopies.

Marks sheet/Diploma/Degree of prescribed qualification.
Date of Birth / Matriculation Certificate.
Domicile Certificate.
Unmarried Certificate (where required).
Two passport-size recent colour photographs.
One original Photo ID (Aadhaar Card or Voter ID).

Maximum qualification for Anganwadi Worker is Graduation, and for Anganwadi Helper is Class X.
