Recruitment in Indira Gandhi Govt. Dental College, Jammu
Online application forms are invited from the eligible candidates(Domicile of UT of J&K) for engagement for one post of Professor in the Department of oral Medicine and Radiology on academic arrangement basis in terms of S.O 364 of 2020 dated 27.11.2020, initially for a period of one year in a first instance, extendable up to six years (subject to good performance and conduct) or till the selection/ promotion is made in accordance with recruitment rules governing the respective posts, whichever is earlier.
The eligibility conditions and age for submitting the applications shall be as under :-
Minimum Qualification and Teaching Experience :
As per the criteria prescribed under S.O Govt Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 dated 04.04.20203 with corrigendum to Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 dated 04.04.20203
Maximum age at the time of submitting application form :
As per the criteria prescribed under 364 of 2020 dated 27.11.2020 and SRO 426 dated 26.12.2012.
List of documents to be uploaded:-
1. Date of Birth Proof (10th diploma)
2. BDS Degree from DCI recognized College and University.
3. All BDS Marks sheets.
4. Internship completion certificate.
5. Attempt certificate issued by the University.
6. MDS Degree in concerned speciality from DCI recognized College.
7. J&K Dental Council Registration certificate and upto date renewal.
8. Affidavit duly attested from 1st class Magistrate stating that doctor is not in Govt Services and the documents uploaded by the candidate are genuine (In Original).
9. Domicile Certificate of UT of J&K.
10. A copy of Aadhar card and PAN card.
11. One passport size photograph.
12. Any other document, if required by selection committee during the process of requirement.
Note:- The self attested documents uploaded with the application form shall be readable and complete in properly arranged in a series as mentioned in the advertisement notice. Illegible dark/washed out, misprinted document and document submitted after the last date of submission of application shall not be considered for evaluation.
Further the candidate shall submit the special attributes as per Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 dated 04.04.2023 and corrigendum to Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 dated 04.04.2023:-
1. Teaching Experience as Professor/Associate Professor in a Government/Government recognized institution including the institutions authorized/recognized by DCI( Make a single PDF of all the Experiences for uploading).
2. Research Publications:-At least four Research publications (at least two as Associate Professor) only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic, reviews and case series that are published in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed, Central Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of open Access Journals (DoA) will be considered ( Make a single PDF of 1st page of each publications for uploading).
3. Participation with oral presentation including invited for lectures/ guest lecturers/oration in a National/International seminar/conference/ workshop relevant to the discipline with the abstract/full paper published in the proceeding/souvenir of the seminar/conference/workshop ( Make a single PDF of 1st page of each oral presentation for uploading).
4. Participation with poster presentation of paper(s) in a National/International seminar/conference/workshop relevant to the discipline with the abstract/full paper published in the proceeding/souvenir of the seminar/conference/workshop( Make a single PDF of 1st page of each poster presentation for uploading).
5. Credit for writing a Book or a chapter in a book of the specialty concerned as 1st or 2nd or 3rd author (Foreign Book/National Book published with ISBN/ISSN) and assessed by the subject matter expert to be relevant to the subject and of a level where it can be accepted as a reference material for the post applied for (Make a single PDF of title page and page with Author details of each Book or a chapter in Book for uploading).
6. Gold Medal for overall first position in BDS.
The selection of the candidate for the said post shall be made by the Committee as provided in 282-JK (HME) of 2023 Dated: 04.04.2023
Conditions & Eligibility
1. The maximum age at the time of submission of application from shall be 63 years.
2. In service candidate shall not be eligible for the engagement to the said post.
3. The salary shall be paid as per criteria mentioned in S.0-364 of 2020 dated 27-11- 2020. The engagement against the advertised posts shall always on the academic arrangement basis only without conferment of any preferential right on the appointee for regular appointments against these posts which shall be made strictly in accordance with the relevant recruitment rules.
4. Candidates may note that their candidature will remain provisional till the genuineness of their documents relating to educational qualification is verified by the Appointing Authority. The candidates are advised to go through the requirements of educational qualification and certificates to satisfy themselves that they are eligible for the post. If the documents submitted by the candidates are not found substantiated or correct by the committee at any point of time, the candidature will be cancelled without any notice. Criminal proceedings under law shall be initiated or any other action as may be deemed appropriate by the committee shall be taken. In case of any dispute, the decision of Chairperson of the Selection Committee shall be final.
5. Staff engaged on teaching post shall be put on teaching and research duties and shall not be assigned any administrative duties at any level, like the positions of Principal , Head of the Department and Head of the Unit.
6. The appointee under rules shall has to execute an agreement with the government on the prescribed format.
