Recruitment in Indira Gandhi Govt. Dental College, Jammu
In pursuance to Govt. Order No. 383-JK(HME) of 2024 dated 20.06.2024, applications are invited for the post of Sr. Resident/Registrar in the below mentioned discipline from the eligible candidates for a period of one (01) year in the first instance further extendable on year to year basis up to maximum of three (3) years subject to satisfactory “Work & Conduct” certificate from the concerned HOD:-

The applicants are directed to visit the official website of this institution http://jobs.iggdcj.edu.in for completion/submission of their application forms. The detailed instructions for filling up of online form and mode of payment is given in the link provided above on payment of INR. 500/- (Five Hundred only). The link will be available from 30.05.2026 (10:00 A.M) to 13.06.2026 (up-to 05:00 PM). For in-service /PSC Dental Surgeons need to take printout of filled application form and route it through proper channel to the office of the Principal & Dean, Indira Gandhi Govt. Dental College, Jammu by or before 13.06.2026 up-to 5:00 PM. The applicants are advised to upload the following documents along with fee receipt duly self-attested.
List of documents to be uploaded: –
1. Date of Birth Proof (10th diploma)
2. BDS Degree from NDC recognized College and University.
3. All BDS Marks sheets.
4. Internship completion certificate.
5. Attempt certificate issued by the Head of Institution/University.
6. MDS Degree in concerned speciality from NDC recognized College and University (Mandatory).
7. Registration certificate issued by State Dental Council.

9. Affidavit duly attested from 1st class Magistrate declaring that
(a) the applicant has not done Registrarship/Demonstratorship/Tutorship/Sr. Residency earlier within or outside the UT (J&K) in any discipline.
(b) the applicant has read all the terms and conditions and shall abide the same before he/she is allowed to join after engagement.

12. One passport size photograph should be pasted at the appropriate place on the application form.
13. NOC from Administrative Department Health & Medical Education in case of in-service candidates.
Terms and Conditions :
1. The selection for the tenured position of Sr. Resident/Registrar in Indira Gandhi Govt. Dental College, Jammu shall be made on the basis of performance in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based written Test only. The question paper will be of 50 minutes having 50 questions (MCQ based) of 4 marks each. There will be a negative marking of 01 mark(s) for incorrect choice and for opting more than one answer(s). Further zero (0) marks will be awarded for not attempting the question.
2. No application will be accepted beyond cut-off date. The date of the written test shall be notified separately on Indira Gandhi Govt. Dental College, Jammu website. No individual communication shall be made in this regard.
3. The in-service candidates of Health & Medical Education Department shall be allowed to participate in the selection process only with prior permission (NOC) from the Administrative Department. Candidates must route their application forms through proper channel via Administrative Department.
4. The candidates who have already completed their tenure as Registrar/Tutor/Demonstrator/Sr. Resident in concerned discipline in any Dental College or in Dentistry Department of Medical College need not to apply and their application forms shall be rejected.
5. The candidates who are doing Registrarship/Tutorship/Demonstratorship/Sr. Residency in concerned discipline in any Dental College or in Dentistry Department of Medical College need not to apply and their forms will be rejected.
6. The candidate selected on the basis of performance in the Written Test shall:-
Submit his/her academic and technical qualification certificates in original, along with one set of self-attested copies of each document, to the office of the Principal & Dean, IGGDC, Jammu at the time of joining.
