Applications Invited for Admission to Vacant Seats in Class XI (Science Stream) for Academic Session 2026–27
PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Khanpora, Budgam invites applications from eligible candidates for admission against available/probable vacant seats in Class XI (Science Stream) for the Academic Session 2026–27.
Eligibility Criteria :
The candidate must have passed Class X during the Academic Session 2025–26 from a school affiliated with CBSE or any recognized State Education Board.
The candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% marks (First Division) in the Class X Board Examination.
The candidate’s date of birth should be between 01 June 2009 and 31 July 2011 (both dates inclusive).

Candidates applying for the Science Stream must have obtained at least 60% marks in Science in Class X.
Candidates opting for Mathematics must have secured at least 60% marks in Mathematics in Class X.
The candidate must have passed Class X from a school located in Budgam District.
Selection Process :
Selection will be based on merit determined by marks obtained in the Class X Board Examination.
A separate merit list will be prepared according to the availability of vacancies.
Preference will be given to students from CBSE-affiliated schools. If seats remain vacant, students from other recognized State Boards will also be considered on merit.
Admission will be subject to guidelines and approval issued by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS).
