Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Indian nationality on the prescribed Application Form for the temporary position of Project Associate I / JRF in the DBT funded research project titled: “Mainstreaming sesame germplasm for productivity enhancement and sustainability through genomics assisted core development and trait discovery. Genotyping of Sesame Germplasm Following High Throughput Genomics”

Research Position Details

Project Associate I / JRF	One	₹37,000 + HRA per month (with NET/GATE)
		₹25,000 + HRA per month (without NET/GATE)

Essential Qualification and Age Limit

M.Sc. in Bioinformatics / Biotechnology / Plant Molecular Biology & Biotechnology
Upper Age Limit: 35 years

Desirable Qualification and Experience

NET in the concerned subject
Experience in NGS data analysis
Relevant experience must be reflected in publications/thesis/experience letter

Roles and Responsibilities

Genomic data analysis (NGS sequencing) and its submission
GWAS for various traits
QTLs/Gene discovery and validation
Making genetic crosses
Transcriptome experiment and analysis
Other project-related assignments

Terms and Conditions

The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, which runs up to 28.02.2026
No claim for regular appointment/absorption in the University
One-month prior notice is mandatory for resignation
Initial appointment for 1 year, renewable annually based on performance
No TA/DA for attending interviews
