The Defence Estates Office, Kashmir Circle, Srinagar, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has issued a circular inviting applications from retired revenue employees for engagement on a contractual basis. Eligibility Criteria and Required Experience
The engagement is open to retired Government officials who have served as Girdawar, Patwari or Naib Tehsildar, or in similar positions in Central or State Government services.
Applicants must possess the relevant experience and knowledge required to carry out revenue-related work associated with the Defence Estates Office, Srinagar.
The following qualifications and experience are required:
1. Language Proficiency: Candidates must be well-versed in Urdu and English to translate revenue documents into English.
2. Land Demarcation: Applicants should have knowledge of land demarcation using the latest techniques.

3. Liaison with Revenue Officials: Candidates should be capable of coordinating with revenue officials to obtain necessary revenue documents.
4. Mutation of Defence Land: Applicants must be familiar with the process of getting mutations of Defence land entered into the relevant revenue records.
5. Land Acquisition: Experience in land acquisition proceedings is required.
6. Knowledge of Revenue Laws: Candidates should be well-versed in revenue laws and Acts applicable to Jammu and Kashmir.
7. Land Settlement Work: Applicants must be familiar with revenue and land settlement matters.
Terms and Conditions of Engagement
The engagement of retired Government employees will be governed by the Department of Expenditure’s Office Memorandum No. 3-25/2020-E.II(A), dated December 9, 2020, along with the conditions specified in the official circular.
Retired Government officials who fulfil the eligibility criteria and are willing to accept the terms and conditions mentioned in Annexure-I may submit their applications along with the prescribed documents.
The engagement will initially be for one year on a contractual basis, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

Eligible and interested retired officials are required to submit a duly completed application in the prescribed format. Candidates should follow these steps:
Obtain Annexure-I and Annexure-II containing the terms and conditions and prescribed bio-data format.
Fill in the bio-data form provided in Annexure-II with accurate personal, professional and service details.
Attach a copy of the Pension Payment Order (PPO) or pensioner card.
Attach a copy of the Aadhaar card.
Submit the completed application and supporting documents to the Defence Estates Office, Srinagar, within 15 days from the date of issue of the circular.
