SSC JSA LDC DoPT LDCE 2025 Apply Online – Step-by-Step Process

The SSC JSA LDC DoPT LDCE 2025 apply online process is available exclusively at https://ssc.gov.in. This is a two-part process — One-Time Registration (OTR) followed by the Online Application Form. After submission, eligible candidates must also ensure their department forwards the printed hard copy to SSC Northern Region by 23 July 2026. Only applications forwarded by the Head of Department/Head of Office will be considered for admission.

One-Time Registration (OTR) on the NEW SSC website: If you have not yet completed OTR on https://ssc.gov.in, do so first. OTR done on the old website (ssc.nic.in) is NOT valid for the new portal. Keep ready: mobile number, email ID, Aadhaar number (or Voter ID/PAN/Passport/Driving License), and Matriculation (10th class) board/roll number/year of passing. Opt for Aadhaar-Based Authentication for smoother processing. Complete OTR registration within 14 days of starting, or data will be deleted. Save your Registration Number and password.

Log in and apply for the examination: Visit https://ssc.gov.in, log in with your Registration Number and password, click “Apply” under the JSA/LDC LDCE 2025 (CSCS, DoPT) listing in the “Live Exam” section.

Fill the Online Application Form: Personal details (S. No. 1–18) auto-populate from OTR. Fill in cadre (Central Secretariat Clerical Service, DoPT), examination year (2025), joining date of feeder service/cadre, length of service, exam medium (English or Hindi), ministry/department/office details, Head of Department and Head of Office details, and complete service history in chronological order.

Upload photograph (live capture) and signature: Capture a live photograph directly through the application module — no pre-existing photograph is required. Ensure plain background, good lighting, no cap/mask/glasses. Upload scanned signature in JPEG format (10–20 KB), dimensions approx. 6.0 cm (width) × 2.0 cm (height). Blurred or miniature signatures lead to rejection.

Upload required certificates: Upload the following in PDF/JPEG format: (i) Service Book first page certified true copy attested by HoD/HoO; (ii) Certified particulars of service (posts held, pay scale, capacity); (iii) Educational qualification certificate (12th standard or equivalent); (iv) Disability certificate (PwBD candidates only).

Preview, declare, and submit: Use the Preview option to verify all entries. Check photograph and signature compliance. Click “I Agree” on the declaration and submit. On successful submission, take a printout of the application form.

Forward hard copy through department (mandatory): Print the submitted application form and attach self-attested photocopies of supporting documents. Submit to your Head of Department/Head of Office for forwarding to: The Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission (Northern Region), Block No.12, C.G.O. Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003, so as to reach by 23 July 2026 at 6:00 PM (or 30 July 2026 for candidates abroad/Andaman & Nicobar/Lakshadweep).

Download Admit Card: Admission Certificate (AC) will be uploaded on the SSC-NR website (https://sscnr.nic.in) approximately 10 days before the exam; available for download 3–4 days before the exam. AC will NOT be sent by post.

Important: Only applications forwarded by the Head of Department/Head of Office will be considered. Candidates are advised to submit to their department well before the closing date to ensure timely forwarding. Applications received after the closing date at SSC will be summarily rejected.

Documents Required – Upload Checklist & Hard Copy Submission

Candidates applying for the SSC LDC JSA LDCE 2025 DoPT must upload the following documents at the time of online application and also include self-attested photocopies with the printed application forwarded by the department. Departmental Forwarding Certificate – Role of Head of Department

A unique feature of the SSC JSA LDC DoPT LDCE 2025 is the mandatory role of the Head of Department or Head of Office in the application process. The forwarding authority must certify the candidate’s service particulars, verify eligibility, sign and stamp the photograph on the printed application, and forward it to SSC Northern Region by the deadline. Without this forwarding, no application will be considered.

The Head of Department/Office must certify the following key points (as per Annexure-VI of the notification):

All information given by the candidate is verified and correct as per service records

The candidate belongs to the SC/ST community (if claimed), as verified from service records

No circumstance renders the candidate unsuitable for promotion to JSA/LDC of CSCS Cadre, DoPT

The candidate is a regularly appointed temporary/permanent Group ‘C’ employee of the participating Ministry/Department/Organization

The candidate fulfills all eligibility conditions for the year 2025 considering the crucial date and length of service

The candidate has not been debarred or disqualified by any Public Service Commission/SSC/Subordinate Service Commission for any examination/selection

A vacancy in the appropriate category is available in the Department/Organization

Critical: The forwarding authority must also sign the candidate’s photograph on the printed application form and put a half-seal on the photograph and half on the form. Without this, the application will be summarily rejected.

PwBD / Scribe Provisions – SSC JSA LDC LDCE 2025

Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) applying for the SSC JSA LDC DoPT LDCE 2025 can avail the facility of scribe, technology, or assistive devices. The eligibility for scribe assistance depends on the nature and percentage of disability. Compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination will be provided to all candidates eligible for scribe assistance — whether or not they actually avail the facility.

Government Agencies

Blindness and Cerebral Palsy (40%+): Scribe/technology/assistive devices provided on request in the application form, with upload of disability certificate.

Other PwBD categories: Scribe provided on production of a certificate from Chief Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent of a Government health institution (as per Annexure-II) confirming physical limitation to write.

PwD with less than 40% disability having difficulty writing: Scribe provided as per OM No. 29-6/2019-DD-III dated 10.08.2022, on production of certificate as per Annexure-III.

Scribe/assistive device facility must be opted for in the online application form — it will not be provided without prior intimation.

Common Mistakes to Avoid – SSC JSA LDC LDCE 2025 DoPT Application

This is a departmental exam with additional procedural requirements not seen in open competitive exams. Many candidates lose their application due to easily avoidable errors. Here are the most critical mistakes to watch for in the SSC JSA LDC CSCS DoPT LDCE 2025:

Using old SSC website OTR for the new website: OTR generated on the old website (ssc.nic.in) is NOT valid on the new website (ssc.gov.in). Candidates must generate a fresh OTR on the new portal. Using old OTR credentials leads to failure to apply.

Not completing OTR within 14 days: If you start OTR registration but do not complete it within 14 days, your data is automatically deleted. Start and complete OTR well before the application deadline.

Submitting multiple applications: Only ONE application should be submitted. Multiple applications may lead to rejection of the entire candidature.

Not ensuring the department forwards the hard copy on time: Many candidates submit the online application correctly but forget that the department must also forward the printed hard copy to SSC NR by 23 July 2026. Applications received late at SSC — even with valid online submissions — are summarily rejected. Inform your department immediately after applying online.

Forwarding authority not signing the photograph: The Head of Department/Office must personally sign the candidate’s photo on the printed application form and put a half-seal across the photo. Without this, the application is summarily rejected — no appeal entertained.

Uploading a photograph of a pre-existing photograph: The application module captures a live photograph. Candidates who photograph a pre-existing printed photo (instead of taking a live capture) will have their applications rejected summarily.

UPSC Recruitment 2026 Notification Out , Apply Online for 450 Posts

Wearing glasses, cap, or mask in the live photograph: Candidates are specifically instructed not to wear any of these while capturing the live photo. Similarly, the appearance at the exam should match the application photo — changed appearances may deny entry.

Uploading a miniature or blurred signature: The signature must be in JPEG format (10–20 KB), approximately 6.0 cm × 2.0 cm, occupying at least 80% of the signature box. Miniature or blurred signatures are a leading cause of application rejection.

Not indicating the correct medium of examination: Candidates must choose English or Hindi as the medium in the application. The General English section must be attempted in English regardless of medium chosen. This choice cannot be changed after submission.

Changing appearance significantly between application and exam day: Since the exam centre staff verifies appearance against the application photo, significant changes (beard, haircut, spectacles) may raise suspicion and lead to not being allowed to appear.
