The recruitment drive aims to fill 65 tentative vacancies for the Senior Personal Assistant post in the Supreme Court of India.

Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates must meet the educational and other eligibility requirements as on 1st October, 2026.
Senior Personal Assistant : Degree of a recognized University in India. Proficiency in Shorthand (English) with a speed of 110 w.p.m. Knowledge of Computer operation with typing speed of 40 w.p.m
Age Limit 2026
Candidates should not be below 18 years of age and the upper age limit is 30 years as on 1st October, 2026.

Application Fee
The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid through online mode using the payment gateway provided by UCO Bank.
General / Unreserved : Rs. 1,500/- plus Bank charges
Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) / Ex-Servicemen / Physically Challenged : Rs. 750/- plus Bank charges
Selection Process :
The selection process consists of four stages: an Objective Type Test containing multiple-choice questions, a Shorthand (English) Test, a Typing Speed Test on Computer, and an Interview.
Stage 1: Objective Type Test (100 marks, 1.5 hours) containing questions on General English, General Knowledge, provisions relating to the Judiciary in the Constitution of India, Supreme Court Rules 2013, and Knowledge of Computer operation. Minimum qualifying marks: 50.
Stage 2: Shorthand (English) Test at the speed of 110 words per minute (7 minutes dictation, 45 minutes transcription). Maximum marks: 100, minimum qualifying marks: 50.
Stage 3: Typing Speed Test on Computer in English language with minimum speed of 40 w.p.m. (duration: 10 minutes). Maximum marks: 20, minimum qualifying marks: 10.
Stage 4: Interview (Maximum marks: 30, minimum qualifying marks: 15).

The scheme of examination for the tests is detailed below:

There will be no negative marking in the Objective Type Test. Permissible mistakes for Shorthand Test: 5% of total words dictated. Permissible mistakes for Typing Speed Test: 3% of total words typed.
