The Department of Physics, University of Jammu, Jammu, has invited applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Project Assistant under a research project sanctioned by the J&K Science Technology Innovation Council (JKSTC), Department of Science & Technology.
📌 Project Details
Title of the Project:
“Development of Innovative Teaching-Learning Module and Digital Platform in STEM Education for Rural Secondary School Students in J&K”

Project Tenure: 2 years
Monthly Emoluments: ₹20,000/-.
🎓 Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess:
A Master’s Degree in Physics or an equivalent degree.
At least 55% marks in the qualifying degree.
Candidates having computational skills will be preferred.
🎯 Age Limit
The upper age limit is 28 years.
Relaxation of up to 5 years in the upper age limit is available for candidates belonging to:
Scheduled Castes (SC)
Scheduled Tribes (ST)
Women
Physically Handicapped candidates
OBC applicants.
⏳ Duration and Nature of Appointment
The appointment will initially be made for a period of one year.
It may be extended for another one year, subject to:
Satisfactory performance of the candidate.
Availability of funds.

The engagement is purely temporary, time-bound and non-regular. The selected candidate will not have any legal right to claim regularization or permanent appointment on the basis of this engagement.
📝 Interview Details
Eligible candidates will be informed separately about the date of interview.
Candidates appearing for the interview must:
Bring their original documents for verification.
Produce the result of their qualifying examination if it has not been declared at the time of application.
Follow the rules and regulations of JKSTC and the University of Jammu.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
