At least three Militants have been gunned down in an encounter that began on Wednesday afternoon in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said.

The encounter began on Wednesday afternoon after the security forces launched a cordon and search operation following a specific tip-off about the presence of terrorists in Gulab Bagh village in Pulwama’s Tral, a senior police official said, adding.

One more is likely to be trapped in the area.

The identity of the terrorists is yet to the ascertained,” he said, adding that the operation is still underway.
