Terrorists Storm Pakistan’s Mianwali Air Base, Three Shot Dead By Forces

A daring terrorist attack has rocked the Mianwali Air Base in Pakistan’s Punjab province

Pakistani military on Saturday said that six militants launched an assault on an air force training base in the central Pakistani region of Mianwali on Saturday morning. The military said in a statement that they killed three militants before they could breach the base and trapped the remaining three. The statement also said that the attack had caused damage to three aircraft and a fuel tanker that were parked at the base.

The ISPR issued a press release on November 4, saying that the Mianwali Training Air Base of Pakistan Air Force was targeted by a failed terrorist attack in the early hours of the day, which was foiled by the brave and efficient response of the troops

The release says that the troops ensured the safety and security of personnel and assets. The ISPR said that a thorough joint clearance and combing operation is in the final stages to completely secure the area. ISPR says they are determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism from the country at any cost.

Pakistan media reports say that the Islamist terror group Tehreek-e-Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack on the Air Force base. This comes after two separate attacks on security forces in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) last week, according to a statement from the ISPR.

In the Tirah area of Khyber District, an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) was carried out, leading to a fierce exchange of fire. The ISPR said that one terrorist was killed and two terrorists were injured and captured by security forces.

The ISPR said that these terrorists had weapons and ammunition and were involved in terrorist activities against security forces and killing innocent civilians in the area, as reported by ARY News.
