Civilian killed and another wounded in South Kashmir militant attack

In a terrorist attack, a member of the minority community was killed and another injured when shots were fired at an apple orchard in the Chotipora region in the south of Kashmir’s Shopian district, police said.

“Terrorists fired upon civilians in an apple orchard in Chotipora area of #Shopian. One person died and one injured. Both belong to minority community,” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.

The person injured has been taken to the hospital. In the meantime, the zone has been cordoned off.
