Dry Weather Expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Below-Normal Night Temperatures Persist

The meteorological department has forecasted dry weather until May 12

According to officials, Jammu and Kashmir are likely to experience mainly dry weather in the next 24 hours, except for Gulmarg. Night temperatures remain below normal across the region.

The meteorological department has forecasted dry weather until May 12, with a possibility of rain and thunderstorms at isolated places from May 13 to 15.

In terms of temperatures, Srinagar recorded a low of 6.8°C, slightly higher than the previous night but still 3.8°C below normal for this time of year.

Qazigund registered a low of 6.9°C, below normal by 2.3°C.

Pahalgam reported a low of 1.0°C, significantly below normal by 4.1°C.

Kupwara recorded a low of 4.7°C, while Kokernag saw a low of 7.1°C, both below their respective normal temperatures.

Gulmarg, however, maintained a normal temperature of 5.5°C for this period, being a popular skiing resort.

In Jammu, the low temperature was 17.4°C, 6.1°C below normal for the winter capital.

Other regions such as Banihal, Batote, Katra, and Bhaderwah also experienced below-normal temperatures.

Ladakh’s Leh recorded a low of minus 0.8°C
