Elections in Jammu and Kashmir expected to be held in March-April next year; BJP’s Ashok Koul

Jammu and Kashmir BJP General Secretary Ashok Koul on Wednesday said that elections in Jammu and Kashmir are expected to take place in March and April following the release of the final electrical roll on November 25 this year.

Speaking to reporters, Koul as per the news agency, KNO declared that the months of January and February aren’t a good time for the elections in J&K because of the weather and it’s clear that elections will take place during March and April next year.

He stated that the announcement of the final electoral roll would be completed by November 25, after which the voter’s lists will be released and following that, the Elections Commission will start the process of preparing for the election in J&K.

Notably, Ashok Koul visited Bandipora to conduct a review of the in-progress Seva Pakhwada program in the district.

He also urged party officials who are in charge of the district to take all necessary steps to ensure Amit Shah’s rally was a success.
