Home Minister to visit JK on June 23

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir on June 23. His visit aims to review the security arrangements for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage and to inaugurate various developmental projects.

According to sources, Shah will arrive in Srinagar on June 23 for a two-day visit. On the first day, he will address a public rally in Jammu in the morning and then proceed to Srinagar.

In Srinagar, he will chair a security review meeting to assess the preparations for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, which is set to commence on July 1.

During his visit, Shah is expected to meet with several delegations, including political, civil society, Gujjar, Bakerwal, Pahari, SC, and ST communities. On June 24, he is likely to visit the Baltal base camp and review the arrangements made for the Amarnath pilgrims. He will also participate in a special Pooja at the holy cave shrine of Amarnath.

A delegation from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is also scheduled to meet Shah during his visit. Security has been heightened across Kashmir in anticipation of the Home Minister’s visit. All installations are on high alert, and additional security measures will be implemented on highways.
