Govt officers directed to post selfies with flag, soil, earthen lamp as DP on social media handles
The government has directed all government officers to use selfies with images of ‘Jhanda (flag), Mitti (soil) and Diya (earthen lamp) as Display Pictures (DPs) on their social media handles while people have been asked to be a part of ‘Meri Mitti Mera Desh’ campaign on this year’s Independence Day to be commemorated on August 15.
In addition to encouraging people to participate in the “Meri Mitti Mera Desh” campaign on this year’s Independence Day, which falls on August 15, the government has instructed all government employees to use selfies with images of the Jhanda (flag), Mitti (soil), and Diya (earthen lamp) as Display Pictures (DPs) on their social media accounts.
At a high-level meeting to evaluate the preparations for Independence Day-2023, which was presided over by Chief Secretary (CS) Arun Kumar Mehta, the decision in this regard was made.
All Administrative Secretaries, the Information Department, the Divisional Commissioners for Kashmir and Jammu, the Deputy Commissioners (DCs), and the Heads of the Departments (HODs) have been instructed to see to it that the directives are carried out in practice.
The main Independence Day function would be held at Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Sonawar at Srinagar and Maulana Azad Stadium at Jammu.
