Major Crackdown on Jamaat-e-Islami, NIA raids 40 locations in J&K
National Investigation Agency (NIA) with the assistance of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF raided around 40 locations on Sunday across Jammu and Kashmir in connection with a case registered by them against banned organization Jamaat-e-Islami.
Reliable sources told news agency KDC that forty locations were raided by the probing agency NIA with the assistance of Jammu and Kashmir Police along with CRPF in connection with a case registered against banned organization Jamaat-e-Islami.
They said that NIA conducted raids to check the resurgence of Jamaat-e-Islami activities in Jammu and Kashmir adding that a senior DIG and a team from New Delhi had flown to Srinagar before the raids.
Reliable sources said that in Srinagar searches are being carried out in the residence of Gazi Moin-ul Islam, a resident of Soura and Falah E Aam Trust in Nowgam.
