Panchayat Accounts Assistant paper leaked, OMR sheets replaced, claims CBI

As part of the ongoing investigation of the Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) in connection with the Services Selection Board (SSB) exam scam, it was revealed that OMR sheets were also been replaced for money, while the panchayat assistants’ exam papers were also leaked.

The deal for 4 crore rupees had been struck between leakers of paper from Haryana and Jammu-based scammers for the upcoming exam of Foresters the Daily excelsior said.

The report states that 3 top officers in the SSB were involved in the replacement of OMR sheets during the examinations. As of now, the replacement of the 28 OMR sheets has been discovered and more sheets are currently being studied to find out how deep the scams to replace sheets were within the SSB.

The change in OMR sheets was discovered when the signatures of the inspectors at the examination centre did not match the OMR sheets provided by the SSB.

“This clearly means that OMR sheets signed by the Invigilators after completion of the paper at the examination centre were replaced and someone else signed for the Invigilators hoping that it will never be detected as none in the SSB earlier anticipated the Government and CBI crackdown on the Board,” sources told reporters.

“Possibility of change of more OMR sheets in the past is also not ruled out as some of the officials remained posted in the SSB for a long time till the Government decided to remove all of them excepting the incumbent Chairman as no exam was held during his tenure,” sources told.

Noting that tests for not just Sub Inspectors of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Financial Accounts Assistants, and JE Civil were leaked by the scammers (which were later canceled by the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha), but in the past, the test panchayat assistants’ test papers were also released, according to the report.

The deal had been concluded for 4 crore rupees between the leakers of Rewari, Mahendergarh and other areas of Haryana and fraudsters from Jammu which are mostly based in the parts of Akhnoor in connection with leaks of the question paper for the upcoming exam of Foresters.

“Amount was to be paid by Jammu scamsters to their associates in Haryana and all those associated with leakage of question papers after collections from candidates of Jammu Kashmir,” sources claimed.
