Sopore Gunfight :One More Militant Killed

Sopore Gunfight : One militant killed, operation continues

One militant has been killed and in an ongoing operation in Hardshiva area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official told news agency that in an ongoing firefight one unidentified militant has been killed so far.

Earlier reports reaching news agency said, a joint team of Army’s 22 RR, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Hardshiva Sopore.

As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.

Meanwhile, as a precautionary measure authorities suspended internet services in parts of Sopore.
