Whatsapp scam alert for J&K people

A fake message doing rounds on Whatsapp these days offering free internet to J&K is likely to be a scam.

As per the report, the message claims to provide free recharge plans to different telecom users. It encourages people to click on a link to avail the free offer and once clicked the link could steal the users data from their smartphones or computers.

We want to caution the masses in Jammu about this scam. If you get such a message, do not click on the Link as it could lead to data and information theft from the mobile device, and can have other serious consequences. the report said.
