The Central University of Jammu (CU Jammu) has issued Notification No. 66/2026 dated 27 August 2026, announcing the interview and written test schedule for posts advertised under Employment Notification No. 30 dated 17 March 2026 and Employment Notification No. 29 dated 25 February 2026.
Interview Schedule
The interviews will be conducted for the following departments and posts:
Computer Science & Engineering:

Written Test for Assistant Professor Posts
As per the notification, the University will conduct a written test for shortlisted Assistant Professor candidates if the number of eligible candidates exceeds 20. The marks obtained in the written test will be used only for shortlisting candidates for the interview. Final selection will be based solely on the performance in the interview.
The written test will be objective type/MCQ-based, with a minimum qualifying score of 50%. There will also be negative marking of 0.33 marks for every incorrect answer.

The syllabus for both written tests has been provided by the University as Annexure A and Annexure B.
Important Instructions for Candidates
The University has stated that the final scrutiny lists have been uploaded on its official website. Candidates applying for Assistant Professor posts in Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering will be invited for interview only after qualifying the written test. Associate Professor candidates who are found eligible in the final scrutiny list will be directly invited for interview.
Interview call letters can be downloaded from the SAMARTH portal after uploading of the final scrutiny lists. Candidates will also receive intimation through email and have been advised to regularly check the University website and SAMARTH portal for updates.
Candidates who do not receive their call letter may contact the Establishment (Teaching) Section through email at [email protected], at least two days before their interview, for issuance of a duplicate/photocopy of the call letter. Candidates must report at least one hour before the scheduled interview or written test.
Documents Required
Candidates appearing for the interview must bring the original interview call letter, a copy of the application form along with self-attested documents, and all original documents required for verification. These include degree/mark sheets showing percentage of marks, educational qualification and experience certificates, category certificates where applicable, published papers, conference papers, books, awards and other documents submitted with the application.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS categories must produce a recent category certificate in the latest Government of India prescribed format. In-service candidates must bring their No Objection Certificate (NOC) and Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories will be eligible for Railway/Bus fare by the shortest route, subject to production of tickets and applicable Government of India rules. Candidates must also bring all original documents mentioned in the final screening list.
