Continuance of services offered by JKBOSE to the UT of Ladakh for the Academic Session

Reference :-

1) S.O. 339 Issued by the General Administration Department, Civil Secretariat, J&K, vide Notification dated 30-10-2020,

2) Letter No. Edu-Gen/376/2023-01, dated 15-12-2023 of School Education Department, Civil Secretariat, J&K

Whereas, General Administration Department, UT of Jammu & Kashmir, vide S.O: 339 dated 30-10-2020 apportioned the Assets, Liabilities and Posts of the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir between the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union
Territory of Ladakh.

Whereas, as per the Annexure ‘D’ to said Notification bearing No. 339, Dt 30-10- 2020, J&K Board of School Education was authorised to continue Its services to the UT of Ladakh till the end of Academic Year 2021-2022.

Whereas, In pursuance to said orders, JK BOSE continued all Its services to the UT of Ladakh including conduct of examinations up to the Academic Session 2021-2022, which were uniformly held In the month of March-April 2023 due to the Implementation of
Uniform Academic calendar In both the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory
of Ladakh.

Whereas, JK BOSE also conducted the examination In the UTs of Ladakh of the candidates who were declared re-appear / failure in said Annual (Regular) examinations, Session 2023 (Academic Session 2021-2022) and also for fresh Private Candidates of
Previous Sessions of SSE (10th Class), HSE-I (11th Class) and HSE-II (12th Class), in the Session Annual (Private) / Bi-Annual 2023.

Whereas, the said examination for the stated category of candidates also pertains to the Academic Session 2021- 2022, as the Academic year for Winter Session was shifted to March-April 2023 due to the Implementation of Uniform Academic Calendar.

Whereas, the matter regarding discontinuation of services offered by the JK BOSE to the UT of Ladakh beyond Academic Year 2021-2022 In view of S.O 339 issued by the General Administration Department, UT of J&K vide Notification Dt. 30-10-2020 was formally
taken up with the Administrative Departments of School Education of UT of Ladakh and UT of Jammu
& Kashmir respectively,

Whereas, School Education Department, UT of J&K vide Its letter No, Edu- Gen/376/2023-01, Dt: 15-12-2023, has conveyed the approval of competent authority for continuance of services of JK BOSE to the UT of Ladakh for the Academic Session 2023-2024,

Now, therefore, in compliance to the approval conveyed by the School Education Department, UT of J&K in reference to the communication dated 08-12-2023 of Principal Secretary to the Administration, UT of Ladakh, School Education Department, it is hereby notified for the information of all the stakeholders that all the services offered by the JK BOSE to the UT of
Ladakh shall continue for the Academic Session 2023-2024.
