Subject: General Instructions for the Candidates appearing in the Written Examination (Objective Type) for various Gazetted posts in the Health & Medical Education Department.

It is for the information of all eligible candidates that the Written Examination (Objective Type) for various posts in the Health & Medical Education Department notified vide different advertisement notifications, as per the date sheet/Schedule already notified vide Notice dated: 30.07.2026.

The Admit Cards will be available on 03.08.2026 (Monday) on the Commission’s website. Candidates are directed to follow the below instructions for downloading their e-Admit Card:

  • Login to your JKPSC account (Using User-Id & Password).
  • Click on Admit Card menu.
  • Click on Get Admit Card to download your Admit Card.
  • Print your Admit Card.

However, in case, a candidate is not able to download his/her Admit Card, he or she may represent before the Commission by or before 07.08.2026 (Friday) with a valid proof of having filled in Online Application Form and online fee, failing which it shall be presumed that they are not interested in appearing in the said examination and no claim whatsoever shall be entertained.

The candidates are advised to take a printout of the Admit Card well in advance to avoid last minute rush.

The candidature of all the candidates appearing in the said examination scheduled to be held on 11.08.2026 (Tuesday) shall be purely provisional.

Instructions During Examination

  1. All candidates shall report at the Examination Venue at least one and a half hour before commencement of the Examination i.e. by 08:30 A.M.
  2. Entry to the Examination Venue shall be closed 30 minutes before commencement of the Examination.
  3. Candidates should be seated in the Examination Hall at least 20 minutes before commencement of the Examination.
  4. Candidates must carry Admit Card and a valid Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport).
  5. Read all instructions mentioned on the Admit Card carefully.
  6. Do not write anything related or unrelated to Examination on the Admit Card.
  7. Check the Admit Card carefully and report any discrepancy to JKPSC immediately.
  8. Candidates are responsible for safe custody of the Admit Card.
  9. Candidates must not carry Mobile Phone, Smart Watch, Calculator, Headphones, Bluetooth devices or any unauthorized/incriminating material. Possession of any such material during examination will lead to disqualification.
  10. Candidates appearing at any centre other than the allotted centre will have their Response Sheet not evaluated and candidature liable to cancellation.
  11. Candidates should bring their own Blue/Black Ball Point Pen, transparent pouch and transparent card board only.
  12. Candidates shall not be permitted to leave the Examination Hall until expiry of full time (two hours).
  13. OMR Answer Sheet and Test Booklet will be provided in the Examination Hall. Candidates should carefully read the instructions before attempting the paper.
  14. The examination will be of Multiple Choice Type with 04 options (A, B, C & D) for each question. Candidates should darken the correct option using Blue/Black Ball Point Pen.
  15. The OMR oval should be fully darkened without damaging the Response Sheet.
  16. Candidates shall make their own boarding and lodging arrangements. No TA/DA will be paid.
  17. Candidature is provisional, subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions.

Negative Marking

  • There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
  • 0.25 marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • More than one answer marked for a question will also be treated as a wrong answer and attract the same penalty.
  • No penalty will be imposed for unanswered questions.

Important Note

If any discrepancy is found in the Test Booklet or Responses, a written representation indicating the Question Number(s) and Test Booklet Series should be submitted within three days from the date of examination. Representations received after the prescribed time shall not be entertained.

Candidates are also advised to refer to the traffic/weather advisory, if any, to avoid inconvenience.
