Notification No. 08 of 2026
Written Examination (OMR/MCQ Based) for Selection/Engagement as Senior Resident
It is hereby notified for information of all candidates who have applied for engagement as Senior Resident in the following departments of Government Medical College, Srinagar, in response to Notice No. 08 of 2026 dated 02.06.2026, that their OMR-based written examination shall be conducted in the Smart Class Room, Government Medical College, Srinagar.

Important Instructions for Candidates
1. Admit Cards
Admit Cards/Roll Number Slips will be available w.e.f. 12.08.2026 in the respective Registered User Accounts through which candidates applied for the posts.
2. Reporting Time
Candidates must report at the examination centre one hour before the scheduled commencement of the examination for identity verification.
Candidates must bring:
Coloured Admit Card/Roll Number Slip
Any one of the following identity documents:
Photo Identity Card issued by the competent authority
Driving Licence
PAN Card
Aadhaar Card
3. Prohibited Items
Candidates must not bring any prohibited items to the examination centre.
Electronic devices including mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, scanning devices, earphones, tablets, books, notebooks, calculators, smart watches, laptops, iPads, etc. are strictly prohibited inside the examination venue.
Violation of these instructions will be dealt with strictly under law.
4. OMR Sheet Instructions
Scratching, overwriting, tick marks and multiple answers will be treated as wrong answers.
Candidates must not make unnecessary or stray marks on the OMR sheet.
Use of whitener, eraser, nails, rubber or blade on the OMR sheet is strictly prohibited.
Any attempt to seek or provide assistance during the examination will result in immediate disqualification and expulsion from the examination centre.
Candidates must follow all instructions printed on the question booklet and OMR sheet.
5. Provisional Nature of Admit Card
Issuance of the admit card is provisional and does not confirm eligibility or selection. Candidature will remain subject to verification of the eligibility criteria and information provided in the application form.
If a candidate is found at any stage not to fulfil the required eligibility criteria, parameters or requirements, his/her candidature may be cancelled without prior notice.
