The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has issued an important notification regarding the shortlisting of candidates for the interview/viva-voce for temporary engagement as Research Assistants. Interview Dates for Kashmir and Jammu Divisions
The High Court has announced separate interview schedules for candidates belonging to Kashmir Division and Jammu Division.
Kashmir Division Interview Schedule
Candidates shortlisted for Research Assistant positions under Kashmir Division will appear for their interview/viva-voce on the following dates:
28 October 2026
29 October 2026
The names and registration numbers of the shortlisted candidates are provided in Annexure A of the official notification.
Jammu Division Interview Schedule
Candidates shortlisted for Jammu Division will appear for the interview/viva-voce on:
3 November 2026
4 November 2026
The list of shortlisted candidates for Jammu Division is provided in Annexure B of the notification.
Candidates should check their admit cards carefully for their exact interview date, reporting time and venue.
How Were Candidates Shortlisted?
According to the notification, the High Court received 436 applications in response to the advertisement for Research Assistant positions. Since conducting interviews for all applicants was not considered feasible, the matter was placed before the Committee for Appointment of Oath Commissioners and Research Assistants.
The committee recommended shortlisting candidates in a 1:5 ratio, determined on the basis of merit obtained in their academic qualifications in Law.
The candidates whose names and registration numbers appear in Annexures A and B have been shortlisted for the interview/viva-voce, subject to verification of their eligibility and original documents.
How to Download the Research Assistant Interview Admit Card?
Candidates can download their admit cards from 23 October 2026 by following these steps:
Visit the official examination portal of the High Court at exams.jklhc.in.
Look for the relevant Research Assistant interview admit card link.
Open the link and enter the required login or registration details.
Download the admit card.
Check the interview date, reporting time, venue and instructions carefully.
Take a printout of the admit card for the interview.

Documents Required for the Interview
The High Court has instructed shortlisted candidates to report at the interview venue two hours before their scheduled interview time.
Candidates must bring the following documents:
Original certificates and testimonials.

Domicile certificate.
Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving Licence, Passport or another acceptable identity document.

Important Instructions for Candidates
The High Court has issued several important instructions that shortlisted candidates must follow:
Only shortlisted candidates who fulfil all the notified eligibility requirements will be allowed to appear in the interview.
Inclusion of a candidate’s name and registration number in the shortlist does not automatically guarantee permission to appear in the interview.
The candidature will remain subject to scrutiny and verification of original certificates and testimonials.
Candidates whose eligibility documents reveal any deficiency may not be allowed to appear in the interview.
Failure to produce original certificates or testimonials may result in forfeiture of candidature.
Candidates must carry valid identity proof and self-attested photocopies of the required documents.
No TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Dearness Allowance) will be paid to candidates appearing for the interview.
