J&K Pre & Post Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste Students 2026-27: Apply Through NSP
The Directorate of Social Welfare, Jammu has invited online applications for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship Schemes for Scheduled Caste (SC) students for the academic session 2026-27 through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) of the Government of India.

Scholarship Schemes
Pre-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste Students
Applicable for Class 9th and Class 10th students only.
Post-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste Students
Applicable for Class 11th onwards.
Important Dates
Portal Opening Date: 10 July 2026
Last Date for Online Application Submission: 31 August 2026
Last Date for Institute (INO) Level Verification: 15 September 2026
Last Date for District Nodal Officer (DNO) Level Verification: 1 October 2026
Instructions for Applicants
Students must apply online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at www.scholarships.gov.in.
Applicants must complete One Time Registration (OTR) before applying for the scholarship.
The OTR is a unique identification number allotted to every student and is mandatory for applying on the National Scholarship Portal. It remains valid throughout the student’s academic career on the NSP.
Steps to Generate OTR
Download and install the Face RD App from the Google Play Store.
Download and install the NSP OTR App from the Google Play Store.
Complete face authentication using the eKYC with FaceAuth option available in the NSP OTR Mobile App.
After generating the OTR and password, students can apply for the scholarship by filling in the required details on the NSP portal.

Universities, Institutes, Colleges and Schools having valid AISHE, U-DISE, NCVT or SCVT codes, located within or outside the Union Territory, whose students are eligible for these scholarships, must:
Register themselves on the NSP.
Complete KYC, Aadhaar Demo Authentication, and Bio-Authentication in coordination with the concerned District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) or District Manager CSC.
Update their course details on the NSP at the earliest.
Verify students’ applications within the prescribed timeline.

Aadhaar Card
Domicile Certificate (Dispensation)
Category Certificate
Aadhaar-seeded Bank Account Details (upload the first page of the passbook showing correct account number and IFSC code)
Income Certificate issued by the Tehsildar
Previous year’s Marks Sheet
Original Fee Receipt of the current class
Aadhaar-linked Mobile Number and Email ID of the student
