JKBOSE (PM-USP CSSS) Scholarship Notification

PRADHAN MANTRI UCHCHATAR SHIKSHA PROTSAHAN (PM-USP) YOJANA- CENTRAL SECTOR SCHEME OF SCHOLARSHIP FOR COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS (PM-USP CSSS)

Inviting ONLINE applications for Fresh Batch 2024, 1st Renewal of Batch 2023, 2nd Renewal of Batch 2022 and 3rd renewal of Batch 2021 on National Scholarship Portal.

It is notified for information that online scholarship applications under Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM-USP) Yojana-Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (PM USP CSSS) sponsored by the Department of Higher Education. Ministry of Education (MoE), New Delhi through the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education are being invited through National Scholarship Portal (http://scholarships.gov.in) by or before 31st of October, 2024. The students who have passed their Higher Secondary Examination, Part-II (Class 12th) Session Annual, Regular 2024 (J&K and Ladakh-Hard Zone & Soft Zone) falling within Top 20 percentile and follow the below mentioned eligibility criteria can apply online for the scholarship.

Other Eligibility Criteria:

1. The gross parental/family income upto Rs.4.5 lakh per annum are eligible for scholarship under this scheme. Income Certificate will be required only for the fresh applicants.

2. The student should not be availing any other scholarship from any other source.

3. The student should be pursuing undergraduate courses in any stream from recognized institution within or outside U.T. of J&K/UT of Ladakh.

The Top 20 percentile list is available on JKBOSE website: www.jkbose.nic.in

The quantum of Scholarship is Rs. 12,000/-per annum for undergraduate courses i.e. Rs 36,000/- for three years and Rs 20,000/-per year during post graduate courses.

Besides, it is also notified for information of all the concerned candidates of 1st Renewal of Batch 2023, 2nd Renewal of Batch 2022 and 3rd renewal of 2021, who are in receipt of Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship (CSSS) for College and University Students, can also apply online for their respective renewal installments on National Scholarship Portal by or before 31st of October 2024.

The application after successful completion will be validated online by the University/ College/Institutions in which the student is studying at graduate/Post Graduation level.

NOTE :

The heads of the University/College/ Institutions may get/reset their User ID and Password on e-mail ID [email protected] to verify the eligible students online for speedy disposal.
