JKPSC: Filling up of the post of Assistant Mining Engineer -rejection of candidature thereof
Whereas, the Department of Mining, vide letter No. GM- MNG/33/2022-04 dated 07.04.2022 and GM-MNG/33/2022-04 dated 18.04.2022, among others, referred 01 post, under OM category of Assistant Mining Engineer in the Department of Mining to the J&K Public Service Commission for selection; and,
Whereas, the post was advertised, vide Notification No. 20-PSC (DR-P) of 2022 dated 05.08.2022; and,
Whereas, the prescribed qualification for the post of Assistant Mining Engineer in the Department of Mining is as under
“Degree in Mining Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized Institute or Diploma in Mining and three years minimum experience in Metalliferous/Non-Metalliferous/Coal Mining Knowledge of Exploratory Mining and underground Geological Mapping in an Organization of repute”
Whereas, the written test was conducted on 29.08.2024 & 30.08.2024 and the result thereof was declared vide Notification No. PSC/Exam/S/2024/73 dated 06.11.2024; and,
Whereas, upon scrutiny of the documents it was found that the candidates whose details are given below do not possess the requisite relevant qualification for the said post, and accordingly their candidature was rejected vide Notice dated 06.06.2025, with a stipulation that if any of the candidate(s) feel aggrieved with the rejection of his candidature, he may represent before the Appellate Authority:
