JKSSB PST/PET 2026: Important Instructions for Forest Department Candidates

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued an important notice for candidates appearing in the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET) for various posts in the Forest Department.

According to the JKSSB notice dated September 3, 2026, the PST/PET for shortlisted candidates will be conducted from September 7 to September 13, 2026. Candidates have been advised to strictly follow the instructions regarding reporting time, test venues, transportation, food, drinking water and other arrangements.

JKSSB PST/PET 2026 Dates and Venues

The JKSSB has specified different venues and dates for candidates appearing in the physical tests.

Candidates appearing in Kashmir

The Physical Standard Test (PST) for shortlisted candidates appearing in Kashmir will be conducted on September 7, 2026 at:

Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar

Candidates who qualify the PST will appear for the Physical Endurance Test (PET) on September 8, 2026 at:

Ring Road, Wathora, Chadoora, Budgam

The PST for candidates appearing in Jammu will be conducted on September 11, 2026 at:

J&K Services Selection Board, Central Office, Akhnoor Road, Muthi, Jammu

Candidates qualifying the PST will undergo the PET from September 12 to September 13, 2026 at:

Domana New Bypass Road, Jammu

Candidates must report to the venue strictly according to the date, time and venue mentioned on their Admit Card.

JKSSB PET Reporting Time

Candidates appearing for the JKSSB PET have been instructed to report at the designated venue between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM on the date mentioned on their Admit Card.

No candidate will be permitted to enter the venue after 7:00 AM.

Therefore, JKSSB has advised candidates to reach the venue well before the closing reporting time so that sufficient time is available for document verification and other pre-test formalities.

JKSSB Instructions Regarding Food and Personal Belongings

Candidates appearing for the PET may carry snacks, eatables and other light food items for their personal consumption.

However, these items will not be permitted beyond the designated Start Point of the PET track.

JKSSB will provide facilities at the designated venue(s) where candidates can keep their personal belongings. Candidates have also been advised not to carry valuables or unnecessary items to the venue.

The Board will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings.

JKSSB Shuttle Bus Service for PET Candidates

For the convenience of candidates appearing for the PET in Jammu, JKSSB will arrange shuttle bus services from the designated Start Point on the Akhnoor–Samba Ring Road to the PET test site.

For candidates appearing for the PET in Kashmir Division, shuttle bus services will be arranged from the JKSSB Central Office at ZamZam Complex, Rambagh, Srinagar, to the test site at Ring Road, Wathora, Chadoora, Budgam.

The notice states that the last shuttle bus will leave the designated spots in Jammu as well as Srinagar before 6:15 AM.

Drinking Water and ORS Arrangements

JKSSB will make arrangements for drinking water and ORS at designated points along the PET track to facilitate candidates during the physical test.

Candidates are also permitted to carry their own drinking water in a transparent bottle. The bottle must be meant strictly for the candidate’s personal consumption.

Important Instructions for JKSSB Candidates

Candidates appearing in the JKSSB PST/PET 2026 should keep the following points in mind:

  • Check the date, reporting time and venue mentioned on the Admit Card.
  • Reach the designated venue well before the prescribed reporting time.
  • PET candidates must report between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM.
  • Entry after 7:00 AM will not be permitted.
  • Candidates should allow sufficient time for verification and pre-test formalities.
  • Light snacks and food items may be carried for personal consumption.
  • Food items will not be permitted beyond the designated PET track Start Point.
  • Avoid carrying valuables and unnecessary belongings.
  • JKSSB will provide designated facilities for keeping personal belongings.
  • Candidates may carry drinking water in a transparent bottle for personal consumption.
  • Make use of the shuttle bus facility where required.
  • Candidates should carefully follow the instructions of officials deployed at the test venue.
  • All instructions contained in the JKSSB Admit Card and subsequent instructions issued by the Board must be followed.
