Subject: Shortlisting of candidates for Conduct of Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET) (Walk Test) for the post of Inspector (FPF), Wildlife Guard, FPF Guard, Field Assistant and Social Forester under Forest, Ecology & Environment, advertised vide Notification Nos. 03 of 2021 and 04 of 2022, Item Nos. 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 185, 186, 189, 190, 592, 593, 594, 605 & 606 in the Department of Forest, Ecology & Environment.
NOTICE
Whereas, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) conducted OMR based written examination for the post of Inspector (FPF), Wildlife Guard, FPF Guard, Field Assistant and Social Forester worker, Department of Forest, Ecology & Environment, advertised vide Notification No. 03 of 2021 and 04 of 2022, Item Nos. 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 185, 186, 189, 190, 592, 593, 594, 605 & 606;
Whereas, the result/score-sheet for the examination for the Inspector (FPF), Wildlife Guard, FPF Guard and Field Assistant, Social Forestry Worker was notified vide Notification No. JKSSB-COE0EXAM(UT)/14/2026-03 (7842028), dated: 28.04.2026 to 11.6.2026 respectively;
Whereas, the number of candidates to be shortlisted for appearing in the PST/PET of the Department of Forest, Ecology & Environment, as approved by the Board shall be six times the total number of vacancies to be filled up in each category and the candidates who fall within the consideration zone shall be required to undergo the PST/PET, as per the requirements, notified in the advertisement notification.
Whereas, the J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) intends to conduct the PST/PET of the eligible shortlisted candidates, category-wise, from 1st week of September, 2026 at Jammu/Srinagar respectively.
Accordingly, the candidates who are falling in the consideration zone for conducting of the PST/PET for the aforementioned posts have been shortlisted for appearing in PST/PET and are hereby notified as given in Annexure “A”, “B”, “C”, “D”, “E”, “F” and “G”.
Further notified:
- Mere calling a candidate for PST/PET does not confer any right upon him/her for selection and the candidate has to fulfil all eligibility conditions as laid down and the decision of the Board shall be final.
- The PST/PET shall be of qualifying nature only.
- A candidate who fails to appear in the PST/PET on the given date and time shall forfeit his/her right of consideration at further stages of selection.
- Candidates are advised to bring Admit Card, one original Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card/Voter ID Card/Passport etc.) and one copy of the PST/PET deficiency (if any) reference to eligibility.
- In case of any deficiency with reference to eligibility, proof at the time of PST/PET shall be produced.
- Any candidate found indulging in impersonation, making false statements, suppressing material information or resorting to unfair means shall render himself/herself liable for criminal prosecution, debarment from recruitment and cancellation of candidature.
- The candidates must report to the JKSSB office at Muthi, Akhnoor Road, Jammu/Zam Zam Complex, Rambagh, Srinagar during office hours from 10.08.2026 to 14.08.2026 only. Any request for change in PST/PET venue received after the stipulated date/time shall not be entertained.
- Candidates who have applied for more than one post and have been clubbed in Annexure “F” must report the issue during the above period if their application IDs have been clubbed incorrectly. No request in this regard shall be entertained after the stipulated time.
