University of Kashmir Scheme & Syllabus Notice
It is notified for the information of all the candidates who had applied for the posts of Junior
Assistants advertised vide Advertisement Notice No. 09 of 2026 dated 31-03-2026, that the
Selection Criteria, Scheme and Syllabus, for the said posts shall be as under:
Scheme & Selection Criteria :
Short-listing/ Selection Criteria : Maximum Marks
1. Objective Type Written Test (OMR based) : 80 Marks
Computer Test (Skill Test) : 20 Marks
Total Marks : 100
Candidates shall be short-listed for appearing in Computer Test on the basis of merit obtained
in the OMR based Written Test, in the ratio of 1:5 of the number of posts advertised.
– The final selection shall be made on the basis of aggregate merit obtained in the OMR Based
Written Test and Computer Test (Skill Test).

Note : Appearance in the Computer Test is mandatory and candidates failing to appear in the
Computer Test shall not be considered for final selection irrespective of their performance in
the OMR based Written Test.
Scheme for Objective-Type Written Test (OMR based)
Number of objective type questions : 80
Marks allotted to each correct answer : 01
Negative marks for incorrect answer : 0.25 per question
Time allowed : 90 minutes
