J&K School Education Department Appointments – Check Lists

The School Education Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, has issued an important appointment order for the post of Lecturer in the discipline of Mathematics.

Terms and Conditions of Appointment

The appointment of the selected candidates is subject to several important conditions.

1. Joining and Reporting

Candidates belonging to the Jammu Division are required to report to the Director, School Education, Jammu, while candidates belonging to the Kashmir Division are required to report to the Director, School Education, Kashmir.

They must report within 21 days from the date of issuance of the appointment order. Failure to join within the prescribed period may result in withdrawal of the appointment order without further notice.

The formal posting order will be issued separately by the competent authority.

2. Appointment Subject to Verification

The appointment is provisional and remains subject to verification of the educational, professional and/or technical qualifications claimed by the candidates.

If any discrepancy, misrepresentation or adverse finding is detected during verification, the appointment may be cancelled in accordance with the applicable rules.

3. Documents Required at the Time of Joining

The appointees are required to produce original documents, including:

Academic qualification certificates

Matriculation/Date of Birth certificate

Health certificate issued by the concerned Chief Medical Officer

Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority

Category certificate, wherever applicable

Candidates should ensure that all documents submitted in support of their appointment are genuine and valid.

4. Self-Employment and Government Service Conditions

Candidates who have taken loans for self-employment from the DIC/Employment Department are required to provide the necessary undertaking regarding relinquishment of their proprietorship or stake in the relevant self-employment unit/enterprise before joining government service.

The concerned DDO will also obtain the required affidavit and monitor the recovery of the applicable loan liability.

5. Verification of Certificates

The appointees are required to furnish an affidavit confirming that the certificates and documents submitted in support of their appointment are authentic.

If any certificate is subsequently found to be fake, forged, tampered with or otherwise invalid during verification, the appointment will be liable to cancellation ab-initio, without prejudice to any legal or disciplinary action under applicable laws and rules.

6. Salary and Allowances

The release and disbursement of salary in favour of the appointed candidates will be subject to receipt of a satisfactory verification report.

No pay or allowances will be authorised until the required verification has been completed and found satisfactory.

7. National Pension System

The appointees will be governed by the provisions of the New Pension Scheme (NPS) in accordance with SRO-400 dated December 24, 2009, as amended from time to time.

8. Place of Posting

The appointees may be required to serve at any place within the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, depending upon administrative requirements and public service needs.

9. Joining Report

The Director, School Education, Jammu/Kashmir, will furnish the joining report of the appointees to the Administrative Department for further allocation and placement against available vacancies in Higher Secondary Schools across Jammu & Kashmir.

10. Inter-Se Seniority

The inter-se seniority of the appointed Lecturers will be determined according to the order of merit assigned by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission in the selection list.

Appointment Subject to Court Cases

The appointment order is also subject to the outcome of any writ petition(s), if pending before any competent court of law.
