1 Dead, 2 Injured As Car Falls Into Gorge In Akhnoor

One person was killed and two others were injured on Tuesday after a car fell into a gorge in the Chowki Choura area of Akhnoor in Jammu district.

Officials told GNS that the accident occurred on the highway when a car bearing registration number JK11A 4854 skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge.

The deceased has been identified as Raju Sharma, son of Dev Raj, resident of Kalakote.

Two passengers sustained injuries in the accident. They have been identified as Roshan Lal, son of Sham Lal, resident of Kangri Beripattan, and Tushar Raina, son of Madan Lal, resident of Kalakote.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.(GNS)
