Assistant commandant among four CISF personnel killed in fratricide incident in Kathua
Jammu, Sep 29: Four CISF personnel including an assistant commandant were killed in an incident of fratricide in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, officials said.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel were guarding Sewa-III power project at Mashka village of Basohli bordering Himachal Pradesh, the officials said.
They said an argument took place between two jawans over some issue and later one of them opened indiscriminate firing causing the fatalities.
Senior officers have rushed to the scene and further details are awaited, the officials said.–(PTI)

Srinagar, Sept 29 : Four Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel were killed in a firing incident at the Sewa Project in the Mashka area of Kathua district on Tuesday, officials said.
A senior police officer told news agency that the incident occurred following an altercation among CISF personnel deployed at the project.
He said four personnel sustained gunshot injuries in the firing and were shifted to a hospital for treatment, where they later succumbed to their injuries.

The officer said police teams reached the spot soon after the incident and secured the area. An investigation into the circumstances leading to the firing is underway.. (JKNS)
