Bank branches across the country are set for a three-day strike from September 28 to 30, potentially disrupting services that require physical branch visits and manual processing. Public sector banks and regional rural banks will, however, remain open on Sunday, September 27, giving customers an opportunity to complete urgent branch-related work before the strike begins.
The strike comes just days ahead of the half-yearly financial closing on September 30. Public sector banks and regional rural banks are expected to face the biggest impact, while private-sector banks are likely to see comparatively less disruption.
