Bigg Boss 20: Kashmir Contestant Qazi Touqeer’s Act Prompts Salman Khan to Stage ‘Chest Pain’ Drama

SRINAGAR: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has clarified that he is in good health after a Bigg Boss 20 promo showed him clutching his chest and appearing to suffer severe pain, with the actor later revealing that the sequence was staged to teach Kashmiri contestant Qazi Touqeer a lesson.

The promo of the reality show’s ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode had sparked concern among viewers after Salman was seen holding his chest, calling for a doctor and eventually lying on the floor.

However, Salman later took to social media to clarify that there was no health emergency and that the sequence had been performed deliberately in response to an earlier act by Qazi Touqeer, the contestant from Kashmir.

“By the grace of God, my health is absolutely fine,” Salman said, while objecting to the way the promo had been edited. He said the editing altered the context of the scene and made it appear as though he was simply repeating the same behaviour displayed by Qazi.

According to Salman, his act was intended to make Qazi understand why pretending to be unwell as part of a game could have serious consequences for those around him.

Qazi had earlier reportedly pretended to be unwell following a task on the show. He asked for medicines, leaving fellow contestants concerned about his condition. The matter was later discussed in the medical room, where Qazi acknowledged that he had been acting and that there was no actual health issue.

Salman said the incident was particularly concerning because the other contestants were unaware that Qazi was pretending and genuinely worried about his health.

The actor also apologised for the promo’s presentation, saying the editing had changed the meaning of the sequence and its intended message.

The episode also saw Salman addressing the wider issue of social media trolling, including body-shaming and age-shaming.

He criticised the practice of targeting people over their appearance, weight, age, family background and other personal aspects, saying social media users often do not know what a person may be going through in private.

Salman also spoke about the growing role of social media as a profession, with people earning through content creation, gaming, video editing and other digital activities, while questioning the need to make money by humiliating others online.
