CBK raids multiple locations in Central Kashmir, incriminating documents & other materials seized
The Special Crime Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir today morning launched coordinated raids at multiple locations as part of an ongoing investigation into a cheating and forgery case.
The searches were connected with FIR No. 05/2025 registered at the Special Crime Wing under sections 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), and 471 (using as genuine a forged document) of the Indian Penal Code.
Teams of the Special Crime Wing carried out raids in Bemina, Saddar, Karan Nagar, and Kralkhud police station jurisdictions in Srinagar, besides several locations in Budgam district.
Multiple premises linked to suspects were searched and incriminating documents and other materials were seized for further examination.
The operation was conducted after obtaining due warrants from the competent court and is aimed at uncovering the extent of the fraud.
