Anantnag, July 22 (JKNS): A police personnel was killed during a brief exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in south Kashmir’s Anantnag, Kokernag side road on Wednesday
A senior police officer told news agency JKNS, the exchange took place during an ongoing anti-terror operation after security forces established contact with terrorists. The operational party retaliated.
During the exchange, police personnel Aashiq Hussain sustained critical injuries. He was immediately evacuated to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Following the incident, a heavy contingent of police and security forces sealed the area, while the anti-terror operation was continuing when this report was filed. (JKNS)

Anantnag, July 22: A police personnel was critically injured in a firing incident on the Kokernag side road in Anantnag district on Wednesday.
The injured cop was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition is said to be critical, official sources told.
Soon after the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to track down the attackers.
