Fresh Snowfall Covers Gulmarg Upper Reaches
SRINAGAR: Upper reaches of Gulmarg, including Affarwat and surrounding peaks received fresh snowfall on Tuesday.
Quoting an official,the news agency that reported the fresh snowfall covered the upper slopes of the popular ski resort as weather conditions changed in the higher reaches of the Kashmir Valley.
According to the India Meteorological Department’s daily weather bulletin, Gulmarg recorded a maximum temperature of 21.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 7.5 degrees Celsius during the past 24 hours.
The maximum temperature at Gulmarg was 2.7 degrees Celsius above normal, while the minimum was 0.4 degrees below normal.
In Srinagar, the maximum temperature settled at 30.3 degrees Celsius, which was 2.9 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature was 11.5 degrees Celsius, 0.5 degrees below normal.
Pahalgam recorded a maximum of 24 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 7 degrees Celsius, while Kupwara recorded 30.2 degrees Celsius and 9 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Qazigund recorded a maximum of 29 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 9.2 degrees Celsius, while Kukernag recorded 27.4 degrees Celsius and 11.2 degrees Celsius.

Jammu recorded the highest maximum temperature among the stations listed, at 33.9 degrees Celsius, while its minimum temperature was 24.1 degrees Celsius.
The IMD bulletin also recorded 3.4 mm rainfall at Gulmarg between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, while no rainfall was recorded at Srinagar, Pahalgam, Qazigund, Kupwara, Kukernag or Jammu during the period.
