Gulmarg Gondola to remain shut from Sept 14 To 17 for annual inspection

Srinagar, Sep 13: The Gulmarg Gondola, one of Kashmir’s major tourist attractions, will remain closed from September 14 to 17 for its annual inspection.

Managing Director of Gulmarg Cable Car, Qamar Sajjad, told News Agency , that the inspection is part of the routine safety and maintenance exercise carried out to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the cable car service for tourists and visitors.

“Tourists planning their visit to Gulmarg during these dates have been advised to take note of the temporary closure,” the official said.

The authorities have regretted the inconvenience caused to visitors.

The Gulmarg Gondola, a major draw for tourists in the Valley, remains one of the highest operating cable cars in the world, officials said.–(KNS)
