IMD Issues Weather Warning for J&K: Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms Likely Till 3:30 PM Wednesday

Plains And Upper Catchments Of Multiple Districts To See Intense Showers

The India Meteorological Department’s Srinagar station has issued a weather warning for Jammu and Kashmir, forecasting another spell of rain and thunderstorms across many districts.

According to the IMD warning, heavy rain, torrential rain, and brief intense showers are expected over the plains of Jammu, Reasi, Udhampur, Rajouri and Poonch.

The upper catchments of Ramban, Doda, Kulgam, Shopian, Budgam, Baramulla and Kupwara are also likely to witness intense rainfall, an official of MeT Srinagar .

The weather activity is expected between 4:00 AM and 3:30 PM on July 22.

Authorities have advised residents in low-lying and vulnerable areas to remain alert and avoid unnecessary travel during the period. (GNS)
