The conflict between the US and Iran has escalated sharply over the past 24 hours, with both sides exchanging fresh military strikes despite earlier hopes of de-escalation. The US military said it carried out a new round of attacks on multiple targets inside Iran, while Tehran responded with missile and drone strikes against American interests in the region.
Kuwait’s civil aviation authority has announced the temporary closure of the country’s airspace “as a precautionary measure” due to “Iranian aggressions”.
Flights will be diverted to alternative airports in “accordance with approved agreements and procedures”, the authority said.
