Jammu News: IGP Jammu issues many directions to Officers

To streamline operations and enhance the Policing framework, Shri B.S. Tuti, IPS, the newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Jammu Zone, convened an introductory meeting with all the gazetted officers of the Jammu Zone at Police Control Room, Jammu. The meeting saw a comprehensive discussion on the future direction of policing in the zone under IGPโ€™s leadership.

He emphasized that the adoption of cutting-edge technology is essential to modernize policing practices, improve efficiency, and ensure that law enforcement keeps pace with the evolving landscape of crime and security challenges. The IGP pointed out the significance of proactive policing in preventing crime and improving public trust in the police force. He urged all officers to take a more proactive role in identifying and addressing security concerns before they escalate, thereby fostering a safer environment for the people of Jammu.

Furthermore, IGP Tuti underscored the importance of maintaining accurate and comprehensive data, emphasizing that proper documentation and data management are crucial for effective law enforcement. He advocated for the transition to evidence-based policing, which involves making decisions grounded in data, technology, and objective analysis rather than relying solely on intuition.

He also shared his vision for improving the operational efficiency of the Jammu Police at the zonal level.
