J&K UG Admission 2026 Begins as Centralized College Portal Goes Active at jkadmissions.in
The Higher Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir has officially opened the centralized admission portal for Undergraduate and Integrated PG admissions for the academic session 2026–27. Students interested in securing admission in Government Degree Colleges across the Union Territory can now submit their applications online through the official portal.
The admission process covers Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes (FYUGP) introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) framework along with Integrated Postgraduate courses offered by government colleges in J&K.
More than 142 Government Degree Colleges have been included in the online admission system this year, offering students access to over 60 academic disciplines across different streams.
What is the J&K College Admission Portal?
The newly launched centralized portal has been designed to simplify the admission process and make it more transparent and student-friendly. Instead of visiting multiple colleges physically, students can complete the entire process online from a single platform.
Using the portal, applicants can:
- Apply online for undergraduate admissions
- Choose colleges and preferred subjects
- Upload documents digitally
- Monitor admission status online
- Save time by avoiding offline visits to different colleges
The system is applicable only for Government Degree Colleges functioning in Jammu and Kashmir.
