TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 11-06-2026

From 09-06-2026, 1600 hrs to 10-06-2026, 1600 hrs, slow traffic movement was observed on NH-44 due to single-lane conditions between Marog and Kishtwari Pathar, in addition to the breakdown of 04 HMV vehicles between Ramban and Banihal.

Passengers/LMV operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu–Srinagar NH during daytime. Night travel should be avoided due to the apprehension of shooting stones/landslides. Movement of nomads towards the valley, as well as ongoing construction work between Ramban and Banihal, may cause inconvenience to commuters.

NH-44 (NHW)

Subject to fair weather and better road conditions, LMVs/Passenger/HPVs/Private Cars/HMVs (Goods carriers) shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NH (NH-44), i.e., Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline; overtaking and wrong lane driving may cause congestion. TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall coordinate with TCU Ramban regarding the road conditions.

SFs Convoy Movement

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NH (NH-44), i.e., Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. They shall move only after confirmation of NHW status from TCU Ramban.

Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag NH-244

As per orders issued by the SDM Chhatroo and SDM Kokernag, subject to fair weather and good road conditions, LMVs/Passenger/Private Cars shall be allowed to ply from both sides via Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag road.

Movement allowed between 0800 hrs to 1600 hrs

HPVs (with seating capacity up to 30 passengers) allowed

No vehicle shall be allowed after cut-off timing from Daksum (towards Kishtwar) and Sinthan (towards Srinagar)

TCUs concerned shall ensure strict adherence to cut-off timings

SSG ROAD

As per orders issued by the DIVCOM Kashmir:

LMVs shall be allowed from both sides on Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri road, i.e., from Srinagar towards Kargil and vice-versa

These vehicles shall be allowed to cross Sonamarg towards Kargil and from Minamarg towards Srinagar only after receiving green signal from the Road Maintenance Agencies

HMVs shall be allowed from Minamarg towards Srinagar between 1200 hrs and 1500 hrs

No vehicle shall be allowed after 1500 hrs

Motorists are advised to carry anti-skid chains for slippery road conditions

SSG convoy movement shall be allowed only after cut-off timing

Mughal Road

As per orders issued by the District Magistrate Shopian:

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, LMVs followed by HMVs (up to six tyres) shall be allowed from both sides, i.e., from Shopian towards Poonch and vice-versa

Timing: 0800 hrs to 1700 hrs

No vehicle shall be allowed after cut-off timing

TCU Srinagar shall inform all concerned regarding road status
